Masters Position

I'm trying to add a second master to sit just above my master footer. This holds a small section for an email signup bar.

Whenever I try to show it on another page, it automatically sends it up to sit under the master header, rather than mimicking its position on the page I set it up on.

I have 15 pages on my site, so manually moving it down for each page is pretty time consuming, and doesn't seem to always work. When I return to a page that I have positioned it correctly on, sometimes it's reset to be sat back up at the top.

Has anyone else experienced this?

@Sebi Vidret, Product Manager Are you aware of this issue? Is there a way to 'show on other page' in the exact same position?

Hi @Rory Underhill

Thanks for sharing you experience with Editor X Masters. Currently, when you decide to show a Master on a page it gets added under the top section (unless it is the original header/footer).

Recently, we released a new feature in the layers panel that lets you click and drag sections to reorder them. This should help with the experience.

We don't have any reports of the sections moving after repositioning them, we will investigate the issue, if you have any particular steps or more information, then it would really helps us identify the issue.

Thanks for the reply! I did notice that re-order in the layers panel now works, which saved me a good chunk of time.

I see, I suppose that it would be hard to mimic a position on pages with different section placements.

Would it be possible to have the option to set all to below header or all to above footer? The other one-click solutions that have been introduced to Editor X have been so useful to save time and improve consistency.

As far as the re-setting issue went, it was more of a localised issue with my editor I think, as I exited and re-loaded the editor to try again and it seems to have solved that part now.

has header master and foot-wheel master. Have you tried adding a new foot-wheel master?
