Wix Stores on Editor X

Is it just me who feels that ALL of the Wix Apps don’t integrate with Editor X very well? Wix stores is just not flexible!! It’s so annoying

Hi Robert, As always, thank you for your feedback. Could you share more details on what behaviors or features you're missing with Wix Apps? We would love to hear what about the experience you'd expect - the more specifics the better - and see how we can improve this in the future. In the meantime, have a great day!

As far as I can see, there's no way to change the width of any of the Wix Stores pages, or add any kind of side padding/margin to the pages. At most screen sizes, this means page elements hit both sides of the browser window, which doesn't look very nice at all.

Hi @neil452

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Currently, it is possible to add margins to the stores pages by adding vertical sections as the margins.

You can see and learn more about vertical sections on this video:

Soon we will have a more direct method to apply margins to the stores pages.

Please let us know if this fixes your issues.

Hi

Thanks for your reply. I did try that actually. It's OK, but it affects the whole height of the page including the header and footer, which is not really ideal. Unless I missed something.

Thanks for the quick reply. You should be able to drag the top of the vertical section down and bottom up. The vertical section’s top and bottom must be adjacent to another section, but they don’t need to be fully stretched.

Hi!

We are happy to inform you that Wix Stores and apps can have margins like all the other apps.

OK, thanks; I'll have a go.

Hello,

Loving this new editor by the way, I have a question however :)

Is there / will there be a feature that will allow us to create a one click up sell page after a customer has paid on the checked out page?

Thanks, Jamie

Just adding to this to echo what Robert was initially saying. It seems like a shame to have all the power and control of Editor X, only to lose all of those nice features when it comes to the stores app.

I managed to work the sidebars in, as well as top and bottom blank sections to imitate custom padding, but that feels very workaround-y. Certainly not intuitive for newer users.

Even if the stores settings menu had another slider in the layout tab for horizontal padding and vertical padding that would be miles better.

If it's helpful, I can re-post this to the feature request section.

Hi Rory, You are quite right :) Although we can't share any specific dates, we are working on this and as Sebi mentioned, there will be a more direct way to apply padding/margins to application pages soon. Glad to hear you managed to get it to work with the vertical sections though! As always, thank you for the feedback and please feel free to reach out again with any other questions/concerns. Have a great day, Anna
