Hi,
I have 2 buttons on my NEWS Page screen and I would like to create the following effect:-
When I click on BUTTON A, I will display some information on the same page (designated area in that page, maybe within a container) and show the text.
When I click on BUTTON B, another new set of content will now display in the same area (covering the previous BUTTON A info)
Below is a sample from a website that illustrates what I meant. As you can see from this Sherlock website, the text changes when the user clicks on the different button (ie Press Release, Publication, Webinar & etc) and the information automatically resize accordingly.
Please refer to their NEWS page on Sherlock Website.
How do I achieve that in EditorX?
Thank you
Eric
News items make great content manager database material. I'll be jumping quickly as you may know much already.
First add your content manager to site if you haven't already and add a New Collection to call it News. Add your news items, utilize tags to isolate the types of news (i.e. Press Releases, PR...). Set-up a Filter on your database for these types.
One the newly created Dynamic Pages for the Collection, you design it to display your list, but utilize and assign input forms to filter the list.
In my case, I wanted to utilize better SEO, so I also created pages where the list where already filtered. But you can see that used the search tool and drop down menu to filter the list right there on the pages.
Instead of projects for you, you will have news items.
Be mindful, site is still under development

Hi iamteejay,
Thank you very much for your answer. Great design you go there and this is what I'm looking for.
Hi Ido,
Thank you very much for your reply. I wonder if you are able to share some sample codes with me? If possible, I would like to have my website be ready as soon as possible while waiting for the Webinar, which I'm certainly interested to attend.
Thank you
Eric
Hi Hlkhoo,
Im Ido from Editor x,
What you are trying to achieve can be done using code. basically you can create each piece of content inside its own container and using a grid you can put them all in the same grid row and make them collapse and expand depending on which button you clicked.
We actually have an upcoming webinar on the 9th of June, where we will be building a Mega menu (which basically has the same functionality as what you described), you can sign up through here: https://www.editorx.com/academy/webinars/event-details/going-deeper-into-velo/form
