I haven't tried, but it might be possible to make the menu container transparent. Then, add your own container and set it's measurements as you want them.

How did you change the width? Did you check if you can adjust the height indirectly by changing the text size/spacing?

With the Menu Container open, the interface allows you to change the width... but all 3 Height options are grayed-out... tool-tip for Height says "Always Auto" and min/max height says "Can't have a min/max"

Tried changing layout rows, etc... nothing shortens the Menu Container

Take a look at this video (starting at around 08:00). The height should auto-adjust to the number of menu items. You may need to create a custom menu for it to work.
