FAQ

What's the Community Leaders program?

The Community Leaders program is about connecting people who are passionate about web design and Editor X, and who want to share this passion with others. We see a lot of great initiatives out there—videos, meetups, online communities—and we want to ensure we support and help you stay connected as well as give you insights into what we're up to behind the scenes, and support you with your events and projects.

What do I need to do to apply to become a Community Leader?

  • Be at least eighteen (18) years of age, or have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence—whichever is greater

  • Agree to the Terms and Conditions

  • Complete the application form

How do I know if I’m eligible to become a Community Leader?

Among other things, we look for people who have demonstrated an ability to or show a willingness to do some of the following:

  • Speak at conferences

  • Answer questions in official and unofficial forums

  • Create videos/tutorials

  • Contribute to Blog Posts

  • Promote Editor X on Social Media and design communities

  • Commit a few hours monthly to service to the community, and to contributing to our private Slack community at least once a week

If I become a Community Leader, am I more likely to be hired by Wix or Editor X?

No. Wix and Editor X hiring decisions are made independently of whether someone is a Community Leader or not, and we run fair and open processes for all roles. We want to make sure expectations are clearly set that joining this program does not increase the likelihood of or opportunities for being hired by the teams.

Can I make money as a Community Leader?

Participation is voluntary. While it's possible to monetize your activities outside of the program as a Wix Partner or Editor X builder, there are no official opportunities to be compensated within the Community Leaders program.
